RPET- 2009 Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test
Application are invited from candidates of Rajasthan domicile including the wards of Kashmiri Migrants for the registration of Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test RPET- 2009 for admission to first year of undergraduate programmes leading to Bachelor’s degree in different disciplines of Engineering (B Tech / BE) in various Govt. aided and Private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan (except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and other Deemed & Private Universities) for the session 2009-2010.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION:

1. The minimum academic qualification for admission to B Tech / BE program in Rajasthan is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan.
2. Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission to B Tech / BE course shall be as under:

Compulsory Subjects for RPET- 2009- Physics & Mathematics
Any one of the optional subjects: (1) Chemistry (2) Bio-technology (3) Computer Science (4) Biology

Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (10+2) in 2009 may also apply.

AGE LIMIT for RPET- 2009:
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1984 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1979 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education marksheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.

EXAMINATION SCHEME for RPET- 2009:
RPET-2009 shall consist of single examination of three hours duration containing 40 objective type questions in each of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. The total no. of questions will be 120 carrying one mark each. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer. The questions in the test booklet will be both in Hindi as well as in English.

RPET-2009 will be conducted on 18th JUNE, 2009 (Thursday) from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 Noon at the centers in the following cities : Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Barmer, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Churu, Hindaun City, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Kota, Pilani, Sikar, Sirohi, Sri Ganganagar, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk and Udaipur.

AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATION FORM for RPET- 2009:
The Application Form along with all relevant material will be available for sale from 2nd April, 2009 from the following branches of UCO Bank during banking hours (10.00 AM to 4.00 PM, on Saturday 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM) against cash payment of Rs. 700/- (inclusive of examination fees).

LAST DATE OF SUBMISSION for RPET- 2009:
Application Form duly filled along with relevant documents as per Information Booklet should reach to Coordinator RPET-09, Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, W-6, Residency Road, Jodhpur – 342 032 by 5.00 P.M. of 25th April, 2009, irrespective of the fact that whether 25th April, 2009 is a working day or not. RPET-09 Application Form received after last date and time all not be accepted.

JET 2009 Admissions to Diploma Courses in Punjab

Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training will conduct Joint Entrance Test - 2009 for Admission to various Diploma Courses in Punjab

Eligibility:

Candidates should have passed the Matriculation or equivalent examination in Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English.

A candidate who has appeared for the qualifying examination but whose result has not been declared shall be admitted provisionally to the Joint Entrance Test but his/her candidature shall be cancelled if he/she fails to qualify in the examination or fails to produce the proof of his having qualified at the time of counselling.

To Apply:
Candidates have to buy the prospectus-cum-Application form from:
The Counter of the office of the Board or designated branches of Punjab National Bank or Institutions: Rs. 250

By Post with demand draft (to be received at the office of the Board at least 10 days before the closing date): Rs. 300/-

Application Fee:

Following application fee needs to submitted with the application form:

General Candidates (other than SC/ST): Rs. 520/-

SC and ST Candidates: Rs. 260/-

Note: If the application is being sent to the Board by post, Fee should be sent through Bank Draft in favour of "Secretary, Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training" payable at "Chandigarh", However if the Application Form is submitted in the designated banks then the applicant should deposit the same in the form of cash and obtain proper receipt. Candidates are advised to deposit the Application Form preferably at the Banks.
