The talk and die syndrome basically refers to how one feels perfectly fine after they sustain a head injury, however, in the hours following, they begin to develop severe symptoms including a headache, weakness, and lapses in and out of consciousness. On Monday, Natasha Richardson was skiing at a celebrity-known ski resort when she sustained a head injury.
It is believed that the impact which she made caused brain hemorrhaging, or internal bleeding inside the skull. Although there are usually no immediate signs of problems, the blood accumulates within the skull and thus causes a substantial build up of pressure.
